Friendships forged, loved ones lost

Changes came hard and fast
Memories made and live long last
Anniversaries pass of lost relatives
Today I live in honor of them

New country, new city, new day, new life
Exciting new adventures in sight
Support from family and friends back home
Living life fresh "as in Rome"

To all that I have left behind

Celebrate with me this day

This coming year looks strong and bright
My dreams, my future, my goals in sight
