Today was a steller day. My mother has been nervous about my leaving with my blood sugars being high and not having any medication, so she decided after lunch that we would go to the med check clinic and see if they could prescribe me a 3 month supply of Metformin while I get myself a primary care doctor in Germany. Long story short... they checked my blood and the meter could not read the number prompting the doctor to recommend that I go to teh hospital immediatly. he had her is such a panic that my mother was almost in tears. to be honest, I have reached over 600 on my blood sugar count every night for teh past 6 nights. I know this because my own meter will only go to 600 before it throws up a "HI" reading meaning it is to high for my meter to read. so for 7 hours, I get to hang out in a hospital with an IV in my arm trying to get me hydrated and tests run on my kidneys, liver, and god knows what else they felt like doing. Truth be told... I was the hospitals bitch. no one should have to sit in a hospital for 7 hours unless tehy are having something removed... or having something added. I missed most of teh day, I missed my hockey games, I missed my stuffed monkey Bobo. I missed my hockey games! For christ sake, with as much money as these assholes charge, you would think that they would have more than just basic cable in the rooms. But I wasnt even lucky enough to get a proper room, I was off to teh side ina cubical style room lying on a bed that was from the roaring 20's. I got out at 10:30 tonight and of course, I cant go watch any games I have to come straot home and pretend that sunshine is comeing out of my rectumd by a hospital staff, which by the way was teh only thing not violated by hospital staff. At least tuesday cant be any worse
