Working out has many benefits, but it also has many disadvantages:

One of the ones (disadvantage) that I think is the worst...getting myself out of bed in the morning to go to work. I can never get enough sleep on work nights. I think it takes almost as much energy to get up as it does to do a 10-mile run.

So last night I...

A triathlon (swim then bike then run to the finish) of iron distance (swim...2.4miles, bike...112miles, run...26.2miles)...Why in the #$@! would you want to do this?

I seem to be driven to do this by this affliction I have.

My training officially started on 5 Jan 04...the first Monday in Jan......

Occasionally I write some goals down on a sheet. When I find the paper a few months/years later, I am slightly dismayed at how little I have accomplished--lists from five years ago have the same items as my list from yesterday. I really need to get around to playing the harmonica!

p.s. put a few pics up...

So I went to Petsmart yesterday to put my foster cats (mother and 2 kittens) on display in hopes of finding them a real home.

They put my cats in a large cage on the floor. They had one other cat and one dog there also. In addition to the cats and dog they had 4 rabbits, 1 gerbil, and 2 rats.

As chance would...

Heh, "Um, some friends of mine took me to some guy's house that they met on an online porn site, and all we did was sit and watch an hour of a triathalon that was YEARS ago..."

Hah, I could never see Joe saying that, but it sure sounds funny!

Thanks for showing me because it was interesting.

((edited to add: "and the guy rode a stationary bike the whole hour we were there watching the triathalon!"))

So how did my Xmas eve go you ask?

Got up about 5am cleaned house and had breakfast (coffee and cookies).
