So it turns out I completely rock at Street Fighter with Cammy. Gish and I went over to his band mate's house and a few other friends were there. He broke out the Street Fighter like "Kavo's totally gonna kick my ass" which means Kavo is the good one, right? So it comes time that the controller is passed to me, I grab Cammy and he has Chun Li, and I was actually able to keep up. Mind you, this is the first time I've ever really played Street Fighter. She my girl! I almost beat Kavo with her! That's pretty epic in my book.
The fight with Gish was intense too. I won one, he won one, and it came down the last round and he was destroying me... until I magically pulled out the ultimate move. I don't know what I did, but I found it and won with a tiny amount of health left. I thought I'd share that. It was the most exciting part about my Saturday .
So I figured today would be pretty iffy since first thing after waking up, eyes not even completely open, we get Gish's dad, Hank, commanding us to rake the yard later in the day and snapping when we told him we already had plans. There's been some issues in the chore handling lately, so the anger was nothing new but still unnecessary. Shortly after which we got up and went off to Gish's kendo practice. I really wish I had my camera because there was a juggling festival on the same floor at the stadium. I came around the corner after seeing him off to check if there was a fee to get in, and I saw a kid come out of the elevator riding a unicycle. Alright, the days getting better . Later a ball came rolling down the hall next to the chair I usually sit in. That was closely followed by a guy on a skateboard looking thing that kept wiping out .
After kendo class, we headed down town to see Gish's drummer, Joe's, other band in a Battle of the Bands. This was the first time we saw them play and WOW the singer is a spazz. Normally I'm all for energy and presence on stage, but not when you're the only one. He kept calling Joe "Joey K." which was kinda tripping me out. If it were me up there, he'd be calling me "Caity D." and I'd have to kill him. They were alright, but they reminded us of Hanson. Everything sounded kinda the same too. The band after them, now they were cool. Starboard Green and you can here them on their myspace. We got a demo cd from them and enjoyed it on the way home.
I think we're gonna convince Hank that we'll do the raking during the week.
