best
fucking
show
ever.
Okay, now that I'm literate again, I'll elaborate slightly.
The Boy Sets Fire show. Um. I don't even know where to begin. It was the most incredible experience I've ever had music/show-wise.
The highlight... sharing the mic with Nathan and singing the chorus to 'Handful of Redemption.' I had managed to get to the very front of the crowd, basically leaning on the stage. When they played Handful, I was singing along with my eyes shut before the second chorus, and Nathan had dropped to his knees. When I opened my eyes, he caught my eye immediately, and leaned over so his forehead was pressed against mine so the mic was right between our mouths, and held onto my arm (I'd grabbed his so I wouldn't get pushed over) and let me sing the chorus with him.
*is still in an entirely different warm-fuzzy-feeling dimension of amazement*
Plus, in all seriousness, I got to genuinely thank four our of the five guys in the band personally after the show for everything they've done, and for standing up for what they do, and for pretty much being a big part of my positive life changes, and while I could tell it was really appreciated, I think it made me even happier just to be able to do that.
The low part... god damned fucking hardcore kids 'dancing' to Hope Conspiracy and the one that looked behind him, looked at me holding my arms out, and still kicked me square in the stomach.
Much more later when I have the words to express how incredible it was. And when my hands aren't so sore from having the skin torn off them by the stage carpeting.
Pics from the show (including the worst picture of me ever taken)
