on saturday bobby and I went to the west village to do some poster shopping to cover up our bare walls

we haven't hung anything yet because we want to get frames..the ones at the place were too expensive

we got
and one of a black cat with curlicue tail and whiskers and a few red hearts..done in watercolors...i dunno the name of it or the artist..so i can't find it online..but it's cute


we also bought something from Carolyn Weltman
who was selling her art on the street in SoHo
if you click on her name you can see some of her other stuff....the theme is mostly bondage
also the drawing in the corner here is the one we bought


it was done in october 2001
she said the girl who modeled for it lived in the building next to the world trade center and this was very therapeutic for her
you can't see it in that picture but in her hands is a light orb..the light represents joy
and carolyn said it the drawing means "if we hold onto joy, they can't take away our freedom"

to be honest i picked out the drawing before she told me this... cos i like bondage
