I have so much more respect for Deb and my pappy then I ever have before. Perhaps this isn't the best time to be saying this, but they know their shit. And they just seem to know more the more they drink......yeah, I should just shut up.
I don't remember why, but I've been moved to see how long I go into 2005 without crying....

I was invited to go deer hunting with one of my best friend's conservative (gets a Christmas card from W every year conservative), baptist, women belong in the kitchen, how are you going to meet a husband if you go to a women's colege?, veganism isn't heathly fathers. thanks!!
I know I'm just as bad, but I can't stand right wingers like that. It's extremely hard for me to respect them, especially when they can't accept other ways of llife (hence the very cause of our so-called "war on terrorism)
The real war is here in the US. The "Conservative Right" against the "Liberal Correct."
Gay hate epitomizes why we have to win this war soon. Ha, by the way, I've been seeing the slogan "Vegan is the new Gay" all over lately. It's so true.

thanks for reminding me i have to pre-order that book!
Went to Turtle Creek last night, won a bit of change. I was just happy to pull the lever, and Billy kept saying, "You know you just won 20 dollar?" I lost most of it. Walked out about twenty bucks up. I told the boy I only wantted to win three bucks, so I think I did okay.

Why do you hate GR so much? Admitted it's a little religious. I still think it's a pretty nice town. I guess a lot of my friends there want to move, too...
Did you get to see Dylan's 60 minutes interview?

Bland Crapids. Once you've seen the rest of the world, you realise how self-important all of West Michigan is. Religious doesn't begin to describe it. Try right-wing, republican, conservative, Dutch-run, etc. The "dislocated Dutch" are an evil bunch. After all, they started apartheid. No thanks. No clubs, no good bands (that get any gigs around here), no good restaurants, no good museums = no fucking cluture whatsoever. They try, but they fail. And culture is exactly what I want in a city in which I live. Therefore, I'm moving!
You left your lips on those flowers
heard those voices in your head
Slipped out the door and were gone,
I know you are corporeal
because of the way you sense
Youre more touched than anyone.
But Im not in your conscious
confirmation of my hollowness. nothingness.
Inspired by Zeppelin and the one I strive to emulate.
Damn.
Lyrics are the new black.
What Good...

Patti and I made an appeareance at the Rea Christmas party. We made a giant sugar cookie, because we didn't want to spend the money to make a gingerbread cookie, and shaped it like a gingerbread man.

Here's a story for you....in response to your last entry, when I was a kid, my best friend lived across the street from the widow of one of the members of Looking Glass.
Hmmmm... I always thought it was the lead singer but after googling him I see he's still alive. Must have been the bass player then, Pieter Sweval.

"Brandy, you're a fine girl
What a good wife you would be
But my life, my lover, my lady
Is the sea."
Looking Glass
I wish I could be so indepent of the opposite sex. If only I was a pirate. I'm not trying to be funny, I mean it. Damnit, I sound like a boob.
I'm not really sad. I mean, how can I...

I love that Brandy song. I really want to do a remake of it and rock it up, but make it more melancholy, 'cause it really is a sad song. A song of longing and independence.

I fucking adore the Chatham girls. Jules is the funniest. I was eating baby corn, and she said, "How's the baby corn Penilious?" I commented that it's my favorite thing on the salad bar, and Jules said she loves baby corn.
Jen pipes up and says, "I love babies." Than Jules laughes, and she has the best laugh in the entire world, and goes "Ummm,...

Yes they are. So long as they're not crazy, I truly do respect my elders.

Jason G. Wright was among the first Army soldiers deployed to Iraq - March 6, shortly before the U.S. invaded - so the Oscoda County teen was scheduled to ship back to the States in February, relatives said today.

I spent mine in a sweltering kitchen for 11 hours, and my resolution is to take the night off next year.
I don't recall crying once in 2004, and vomiting only once. I'd see a year without either as pure success. Although when either of those things DO happen, it always seems to be out of my control, anyway. Maybe a fair resolution would be to reconstruct a lifestyle devoid of whining and puking, or at least giving an honest effort as such.
My ultimate goal is to throw my alarm clock in the trash forever, so maybe I'll try harder on that this year.
