That was exactly my response to it! SO multi layered and at times really out there, IS it possible to fully grasp? Maybe we'll stumble upon a site that gives an expert breakdown. It's lingered enough though that I want to try it again.

What would you say is your pick from 08? I'm so excited about the Oscars this week...there was just such a wealth of good ones I wonder how the cookie will crumble.

Sorry for being extra long winded.
jena:
I think I agree with your breakdown there. The Wrestler is also my favorite of the year...I look forward to seeing it again.

Milk had such a nice supporting cast, I wonder if the Academy will recognize them at all?

I enjoyed Doubt very much. It's very no-nonsense, no beaten horses and it does feel like it plays out like a perfect play. Streep is amazing.

Everyone should resolve to find a theater where Slumdog Millionaire is playing, and go see it.
Happy 2009!

Merry XXX-mas.

I just finished up wrapping my presents a few minutes ago. Let's hear it for super procrastination! I didn't even start my shopping until Christmas eve. I'm in Atlanta and the shopping was crazy. The one thing I don't like about trying to buy presents down here is that I really don't have much of a choice except to go to the big-box...

I didn't wrap my stuff until the day before, I'm pretty bad at being organised. The internet is good for getting cool stuff. Happy holidays to you! x

There is nothing like a Yuletide hangover to remind you how mortal you actually are.

Here is what Congress should do with that $34 Billion rescue plan for the automotive industry. Give 2,125,000 Americans over the age of 16 a $16,000 incentive to buy a new American car, (perhaps more for say a hybrid, or fuel-efficient car) effectively cutting the price of a new car in half. A 2 million unit surge in auto sales could help keep jobs in...

sadista:
Sounds good to me, because what the bailout will not accomplish is creating more car sales, which ultimately is the only thing that will keep the auto industry afloat.
palmetto:
I'm voting for you!!! Whether you're running or not.

Seriously, makes perfect sense. What do they make it so hard?

I would if I had some on me, but as of now I'm about to enter a tryptophan coma, so no booze for me.
solace:

Reunions are weird. I missed my 10yr high school reunion, but frankly I don't feel like I'm connected to any of those people any more. It would be interesting to see some people, see how they turned out, but honestly I'd probably run out of conversation material after about ten minutes. Last weekend was different. Some colleagues of mine from the University decided to have...

Wow, that sounds cool. I love reconnecting with people who's company you actually enjoy. I'm going to meet up with my best friend from 5th grade over Thanksgiving who I haven't seen really in freakin' 15 years! Hope everything goes as good as your reunion experience smile
schiavona:
Okay, yeah, just a little bit of showing off. smile But see, I brought gifts of pictures. wink

It is truly an historic time we are witnessing. You can feel it, excitement is in the air, spirits are lifted, and hopes are high. Maybe it actually is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, or maybe I'm just a bit sleep deprived. It's not that I never thought I'd see a black president, I knew that someday it would happen, but to see...

I agree with you about the tough road ahead for Obama, seriously could there be a more stressful job to have to take over right now?

Andy Warhol aproves of those costumes. From heaven, but still, he'd laugh.

Awesome! Sometimes the best costumes are the not so difficult ones to do.
schiavona:
You guys look great. Say hi to your lady friend for me.
