Good to see you again! I enjoyed it too! ^^^ Well done! I wrote some stuff about it in my journal.
briarrose:
I especially enjoyed Juliet, but all the acting was really magnificent. At one point my friend Kate leaned over and said "only in Asheville would Juliet have dreads."
If you want to go to Vegas, you should just buy a ticket and go!

Hi.

So my play Take Me Out went real well. It was probably one of the best performances I've given. I even got an interesting little blurb in a local weekly paper. (I played Mason Marzac the business manager by the way.) I had no idea what "adroitly" meant. I had to look it up.

We had a cast party on May 5th. There was...

I don't know if we will be going. I think my membership expires in the next couple of days or maybe the next couple of weeks. So I would be a non-member at that point and it may not be to kosher for me to attend.

Well it's the last day of the month, I guess I should post, or at least get rid of that depressing previous journal.

The first weekend of Take Me Out went well. The show's been very well received. It's a great part and I'm really lucky to be playing it. There are some parts of the show that I wish could be improved or tightened,...

I wish I could go! I still haven't seen you act, so stick it out until I do . .. OR ELSE!

Kate had her camera stolen out of my car by a crackhead. Effing druggies.

Hope you're well. Call me sometime! Oh, and check out my new business, Vee Tea.

Later!

...and add a new depressing journal!

j/k.

dude, I'm not sure what to tell you on this one. I'd say smack some people, but that's not really sage advice. Maybe get the folks who know your skills to pass on the word to those who don't? Stage some guerrilla acting for their enlightenment?

sucks about the film, too. frown

I hope everyone is having an unproductive 4/20 if you're into that type of thing. You damn hippies!

April is slowly becoming a notorious month. It's hard to believe the events that took place eight years ago today would someday be referred to as America's second worst school shooting. I find the most disheartening part of all this is how these deranged individuals attain a...

^ Sadista's probably got it right. However, my two cents on this would be that folks already have an understanding of the victims or their families -- we understand, however sad, a life too early snuffed out -- but what we don't get, and what we strive to understand, as mentioned, is why the hell someone would wig out like that.

I have a pretty solid grasp on anger and violence. I'm still trying to figure out why these guys choose random, innocent targets. blackeyed

I see a picture of situations, that can always fit in a new jigsaw piece; somewhere even into the middle of the whole view without changing it, (a Gestalt).

When I saw the picture of Cho Seung-hui posing with a pistol to his head it reminded me of the Vietnam war picture of the man being held by marines and shot. You could almost hold the two up and see into Cho Seung-hui's mind- but that just a gaping whole in the head. There's so much weeping going on all over the world for atrocities.

This was one horrible instance of the sleep being wiped from the eyes of world, afterall it all comes from one place, the tear duct. I just read the British Queen is to visit the survivors in Richmond. What do Americans claim is being done to sort peoples lives out before they turn to guns? I still remember the shooting here in the Uk in 1996. We try hard not to hold on to every last 'piece' of the jigsaw. It feels much safer here.

In his speech at VA Tech about the shootings President Bush said: "It's impossible to make sense of such violence and suffering."

Not to diminish what happened at VA Tech, because it was a truly horrible thing that took place, and I feel for every person affected by that horrendous event, but...

Isn't that a hypocritical thing for him to say, when you think about...

Thank you!

That is insane. INSANE. Snow in April? eeek
I actually did some of those cheesy Glamour Shots in high school. Chin on the fist, collar of the acid-washed denim jacket flipped up, the whole 9. wink

Wow. it's like 80 degrees here in London.

Watts - I think it's a fake name. GM and Chevron hired a company who do online campaigns to discredit activists for our film. check out IMDB and places like that. it's weird actually they even bought my name as a google keyword for a while.

Three posts last month, I think that's a personal low. I have things to write, but I just never have time to actually do it. I'm rehearsing fro a play called Take Me Out. it opens April 26th.

I've also began work on Romeo and Juliet which I'm directing this summer. We had our first read-through last weekend.

i have to go now, lab...

I really like your last couple of posts...but it makes me sad that you are going through whatever prompted them....but it's all part of life, isn't it?? I always like the quiet people in the room....they are the ones who are paying attention ...observing.....thinking....and I always liked your posts--your honesty about things. I never noticed your stuttering either, and it KILLs me that it bothers you that much.....fuck anybody who would ever judge you for that! It reminds me though of when I was a young lass, and my skin was so bad I would hide behind my hair. It took me YEARS to get past that habit, long after it was gone. One great thing about getting older is that you truly start to care less what anyone thinks....that is a great gift. What you said about being on stage and it all goes away--I swear I have read of other actors having that same thing---must be because it takes you out of your head, I guess....anyway....

I am signing off SG soon, but wanted to wish you GOOD LUCK---I only met you a few times, but I think you are the Cat's Pajamas!! smile smile smile sara
muggan_music:
Stuttering is sexy. If you stutter in front of me, it means you're either nervous or excited and that's ok with me.

most poetry is bad poetry.

I don't talk much either. I'm a listener. When I type an entry or post I turn into Captain Backspace.

I wish I had the time and energy to do theater.

WEEN has a show in Asheville later this month, but its on a fucking Monday and I don't think I can take a day and a half off to fit it in.

If you fall in love with me, I will reject you, and bad poetry will ensue.

Let's save the world from bad poetry, let's fall in love with no one.

Ummm...deal? I must say I've never felt the desire to write poetry at the end of a relationship. Hit walls yes, but not poetry.

I also want to know what causes good poetry??
I hope you are okay! kiss

I hate cold spells in the spring. At least in the fall you know it's coming. It prepares you. When they happen in the spring it's like punishment. It's Mother Nature saying you can't go outside until your homework is done.

I've been out of sorts recently. My humors are out of whack. I think I need a bloodletting. The thing that is really upsetting...

The New York Times Magazine had some really fascinating articles last Sunday. One was entitled "Darwin's God." It explored possible reasons why human beings developed a need for religion and a belief in a higher power. It's not meant to change anyone's belief systems, or for that matter I really don't think it could, but it is thought provoking reading indeed if you're...

True. I find the male figure to be, at best, somewhat funny. I guess it's a good thing my facial hairs grow very slowly.
