We have a new Pope. We have a new Conservative Pope. We have a Problem.
This new pope met Catholic critics with some surprise. They stated on yesterday's news coverage that he was an unexpected choice for leader of the Catholic Church due to his past leadership as a Cardinal and his ruling style to be that of an "enforcer." Pope Benedict XVI may be the element that pushes the Catholic Church into a new Dark Age where Christian Biblical prophesy may hold some water. Catholicism as a religion is seen as one of the most oppressive forms of Christianity. The judgment and condemnation of other religions and even other Christian faiths dates back even to the reign of England's Queen Elizabeth where Catholics slaughtered Protestants in the streets, and Religious leaders in the Papacy started wars and issued death warrants to rulers who opposed them.
This new Pope may perpetuate the current paradigm, instead of giving it a much-needed push into a more socially civil age. God help us if that is the case...

The way its been suggested he intends to block debate on all issues regarding Women Priests, Priestly Celebacy, Abortion and Homosexuality seem to suggest backwards steps into the dark ages rather than embracing the year 2005 and its new worldly ways.
But then religon's a funny thing aint it ? Causes people to fall out and start wars ! Never have understood why a Catholic God has to be bigger than a Protestan God ( or a whatever god) when they're all supposed to represent the same ideal ? Bloody daft init ?
Its kicking off allready, the Italian Press have nicknamed him "Gods Rottweiler", the German Press are slating the English press for being disrespectful of the new "German Pope" by highlighting the Hitler Youth past but worst of all,.. Pope Bennie the xvi writings have knocked the presales of the new Harry Potter book off the top of the German top sellers listings ! ! ! Now is that an act of God or What huh !
