eh... i'd say i function differently in both situations... in a relationship, there is the dualistic existence of both the possibility for cloud nine and pain-in-the-ass... you can love them one day... they can ruin your day the next... if you're single, that factor is seemingly removed (though i think others can take this responsibility)...
