Forethought can be a bad thing. For if you think that you know what is going to happen, then you can create you'r own fear, what i call my own prison. however, forethought can be a wondrous thing too, for when we can see the greatness of our current course of action, there is no better feeling in the world, at the same time, there is no scarier feeling in the world. self preservation depends on forethought, hindsight and insight. but good or bad these things can trip you up. so what i do is, i see but i do not judge. i prepare in my head, for a lot of things, but i do not tell myself that it is going to be any particular way. thus eliminating the fear factor of almost every situation.
don't get me wrong, i get scared, i over react, i even run away when i can't handle it (sometimes), after all i am human. what i do not do, is go into a situation with any kind of predetermined disposition of how the event will turn out, even if i am returning to a situation that was messed up when i left. my anticipation is now directed inward, as a gift to help me think of the best possible way to handle any situation that i am faced with. (this is not a perfect system, by far, atm) picking apart every situation as i go, in an instant, and planning many, many, many different plans, all at once in a split second it seems like, can be very confusing, especially when it doesn't stop. as time went on i practiced this ability and got good at. now i can see through the fear, past the anticipation of danger, and right through to the real of the situation.
By strengthening my forethought i have learned that my anticipation is just another tool for me to use. How do i use it? well, i think and think and think, then, i have all these thoughts, in anticipation of the goodness that is life, i research, pursue, study, then expound on so many things. things that i would NEVER have thought of if i were simply fearing these things. Anticipation generates fear, fear generates an emotion, an emotion is just energy, nothing more. how we use our energies will bring us from, "yeah life is good" to " hell yeah life is fucking awesome".
So the next time we feel scared, take a breath, hold it in, relax for a split sec and think a logical thought, ANY logical thought, then think about the situation again and see what ya come with. i dunno just an example
