I mean WTF. ok first off, Fear - Definition , NOWHERE in this word does it entail that ANYTHING is certain. so why fear. Fear is the Illusion - Definition, real shit, Danger - Definition (#3) is the real thing. Fear = not real, danger = real. Real simple right? not from what i see. I see people afraid of going out there doors simply because it gets dark between 6-8pm every night. how do i see this? i walk down the street at night, i guess i am bigger then average i dunno, if i am on the sidewalk, people are comfortable, if i start wobbling while still on the sidewalk, cause i walk funny most of the time lol, they get nervous even to the point that they turn the other direction, also i can hear them talking among themselves about the fear they are exhibiting because i am not doing what they consider to be normal behavior. or something to that effect. What's my point? Freedom - Definition . Freedom is exhibited sometimes, but it is run with fear. what do i mean? i have been physically attack on multiple occasion because some bone head thought i didn't belong on the sidewalk after dark. not even late just after dark.
Now i understand, in this area that i live in, there is a lot of petty crime, we have "snow Birds" here. people who come in the winter and leave in the summer. So we get some riffraff looking for a place to crash. they don't hurt no one but the danger is there sure. Still why fear? keep 911 on speed dial, and if someone approaches you, YELL YOUR FOOL HEAD OFF WHILE CALLING THE POLICE, less you have a gun, or a baton like me, in which case beat the hell out of them. It is that simple. people do not need to fear, they need to protect against danger. protecting against danger should not entail that you cut yourself off from enjoying life simply because something COULD happen.
This concept applies to fear of danger that is not physically harmful as well. like with a new job, or a new game, or a new car. the fear from these things, mostly, does not come from feeling unsafe, it generally comes from, either the lack of, or excessive use of confidence. so even with no or very little present danger, fear is still an immobilizing factor. Why?
