:):):)What i saw today. was shameful. i mean shameful for me to not at least try an keep the pace and do it my self. what am i talking about? i am talking about work today. I am a cook. I know what that means. even if no one else in the kitchen is working well or not, the cook maintains her/his title as The Cook. that means, he/she maintains their stations/area in good clean standards. for being a cook is not just about making the food taste good. it is about securing the customer's health and well being. food is dangerous if not stored,prepared,and cooked properly, at home, or at an event, or at a workplace. a cook should know this i believe. cook - personal = who ever cooks the food. cook - professional = title earned in the kitchen for high standards of food. ( whatever that means right) well it makes sense to me. i may not word it right but i do understand my point of view on this particular matter.
i earned my way into being a professional cook on numerous occasions, at numerous restaurants, in my life. From a career dishwasher, by choice because i was the best at it and guaranteed clean dishes. to a professional cook at KFC in Alaska because i set the standards of the kitchen. i have earned fast food titles and was proud of being that way. never in my life did i agree that fast food was a pitiful way of working, it is honest, fun, and makes you healthy not just physically, but mentally, team work is a huge mental motivator and strengthening tool. at the work place moral is hugely important. i hope that by my stubbornness to do the job the way i remember being trained to do it, that will pick up the pace around the work place.
As i continue my working days i must remember one thing, for me to work well, i must respect everyone, my only wish is to motivate the others around me to at least match, then exceed my work ethic. i wish for people to better them selves. my only goal with life at the moment is to further knowledge and development of human existence. if i am above average, on average, then i may need to except that, however, if what i see is truly what is to be, then i will be but one Cook on a KFC Crew:):):)
