A concept i regret neglecting, honor. The word itself makes for open interpretation. Civilizations have killed, civilizations have been annihilated, genocide has been committed, all for honor. The flip side, (save the best for last), civilizations have risen, people have prospered, families have grown, beauty of life has been made, all for honor. thin line between honor and pride, or, are they one in the same? Do they go hand in hand or are they 2 separate "things". honor, pride, ego, from my understanding all mean the same thing, basically, but how we interpret each one makes the difference, makes people rise, makes people fall.
Competition. a thought i haven't, really, thought about in 11 years or so. i wonder what happened. nothing happened. i prayed for guidance, real guidance, then i started turning away from pride, things like competition, and gaining material things. maybe i took the meaning of what was being conveyed to me a little to far and for way to long i have neglected to actually understand this gift that was given to me after i prayed. certainly i have not been making the best use out of the gift of guidance that i could have been this whole time, i reject my own guidance, i argue with myself, even when i read the bible, i will read something, pray about it, and argue in my prayer about the subject. often times i come to a healthy conclusion that leads to bettering my internal self. i learn introverting as i read the bible, NWT - BIBLE. ( for me it's proverbs, ecclesiastes and romans)
ANYWAYS
competition is now inspiring me to do good, the last time i felt the feeling that i had to compete, it made me not want to do it, this time, it is making me want to do it, not out of pride this time, it is out of honor. is honor even a thing nowadays? for i do remember honor...
