Fucked up world today

Last night, found out about a dude that a bunch of friends of mine knew (I didnt know him) that fell off a 10-story balcony and died a couple nights ago

Woke up today to news of trains in Madrid getting blown to pieces ... no luck getting in touch with the ex, who's living over there right now.

Then I read that Dave Blood from the Dead Milkmen offed himself

What the hell's going on? What the fuck is wrong with us on this planet?


Ugh

In other news, I started working at Nola's last night, as the late-night cook, 10p-1a. Last night, cooked all of 2 dishes. Tonight should be busier, but I'm taking a book anyways. I'll be working there Wed-Thur nights.

Heard back from the ex; she's in Greece with a couple friends. Would have been the weirdest possible capper to a weird day if she had been blown up in Madrid, but I'm glad that wasn't the case.

The madrid thing is fucked up. I immediately thought of the basques, but it looks like it may not have been them. I've got an ex in Brussels right now that I thought of.

today i did a drop at the Wilderness Society and i was looking at some of the info about the destruction of the old growth forests of which there is now only 8% left in Victoria, since the invasion by the white fellas.
and i started to think back to these dreams i used to have when i was little and i was soaring over the earth and there were no humans anywhere and the whole planet was just wilderness.it was very peaceful.
