That was, without question, one of the most amazing musical experiences of my entire life.

I just got reminded that Gogol Bordello plays tomorrow night at Subterranean, for you Chicago types. These guys are fucking crazy -- it's like Romanian / Gypsy punk. Go see it.

California was okay. Should have been better, but that was out of my control. At any rate, I needed to get out of town and do some stupid partying, so I did, and I saw some friends I hadn't seen in a few years, which was nice.

But enough of that .... right now, I'm going to see Einsturzende Neubauten.

Have you read any Philip Roth? I just finished a trilogy he wrote. You may like it. It's about a writer named Nathan Zuckerman. He kinda reminded me off Enderby a little. The book that I had is called Zuckerman Bound and it includes the novels The Ghost Writer, Zuckerman Unbound, and The Anatomy Lesson and the epilogue The Prague Orgy. Well worth checking out.

Tomorrow morning I go into the career services office at school to talk to them about doing a 4-month stint interning at a couple different places in England next year when I graduate. Wish me luck ... I'm pretty sure it'll work out, though.
