Yet another day gone in my oh-so-rock-star life.
After a hard evening of bullshitting, drinking cheap beer, and fucking up the game of poker the night before, I woke up late and decided to sleep later. Finally, I rolled out of bed and did the nice leisurely shower bit. I chatted online with FunctionalGirl and various other people who are not sexy enough to mention by name. I ate a bowl of cold jasmine rice, blueberries, and vanilla soymilk while I was chatting.
I got to work at about noon and fixed the bug that had been vexing me almost immediately. Later, I met our marketing gal. She was...impressive: tall, blonde, blue-eyed, rail-thin, glasses, ponytail, and a low-cut, tight black t-shirt with the word Ducati across the breast in white. We talked for a while, and she seemed nice.
After that, I went back to coding. I got to run a few races in the karts again. Later, I took a test ride on a Ducati 748S. I'm in love.
I left work around seven and took the long drive to Tacoma. I met up with MisterSatan and Vikprez as they took UnnecessaryZ to all the best places...or a dive bar in Tacoma shaped like a coffee pot. The always divine Roxy let me eat some of her fries while I waited for my food, and I don't think I've loved a human being more than I did right that moment. girl seemed a little put out that I homed in on Roxy first, but I think girl will be okay when she learns that's only because she intimidates me with her massive presence. Then, we all drank cheap beer, shot the shit, and watched a pretty passable band. I wonder what UnnecessaryZ made of the Java Jive.
Then it was a quick buzz back to Seattle. Now, I'm checking some email and chatting a little before getting the sleep I haven't been bothering with for the last week.
Tonight, drunken goofiness with the other single boys.
I suppose I should say something angst-riddled here about Valentines Day. I won't, though. Truth is, if I had someone, I'd be all into it. I don't so I'm indifferent, but I couldn't conscience antipathy.
So go out there and find someone to love.
And be good to each other.
