I definitely understand what you are saying.

For me, while I'm not all that much taller than you, for some reason my response is the opposite. I've always really liked being around tall people. I've inadvertently surrounded myself with them. My best friend out here, the person I feel safest and most comfortable around, is my friend Graham. He's 6'6" with a good amount of bulk and this mass of curls that makes him seem several inches taller and a personality that fills a room. Maybe it is my version of a security blanket?
