I took Brooke and Epiphany to the Milwaukee Public Museum yesterday, and it went pretty well. Epiphany, being that she is only six was at first scared of many things, but I got her to loosen up and we made a game of many things so that she wouldn't be as scared. I did however, end up carrrying her most of the time, so my arm is still a bit sore from the three hours of constant weight. They unfortunately didn't have any decent Egyptian stuff for me to show her.
I finished Player Piano and although it started slow, it built up very well and ended quite well also. Anyone who has ever worked can get something out of that book and up with a smaile on their faces. After that, I sat down and read Galapagos. This book was written well, and the characters were explained well and created a commerodity with the reader. It was based around the whole idea that the human brain is far too big and capable of more negative creations and thoughts then good. I agree wholey and completely. I am now starting The Sirens Of Titan. I am nearing completeion of all the Kurt Vonnegut Jr books.
I got a bunch of new cds today: Ben Harper "Diamonds On The Inside", "Fight For Your Mind", Welcome To The Cruel World", "The Will To Live", Ani Difranco "Evolve", AFI "Sing The Sorrow", Gorillaz "G-Sdies", Bjork "Debut", "Best Of", Atari Teenage Riot "Redefine The Enemy!: Rarities and B-Sides Compilation '92-'99" and a free copy of the new rereleased version of the new Johnny Cash cd with the dvd version of "Hurt" included. Not bad for only twenty dollars. I had also ordered a picture lp of the newest Mr Lif album, but it came warped and mishapen from the distributor.
I am tired.
Cheers.
Music:
Sedition "Consumer Brainwash"
Slick Rick "Children's Story"
Scott Baio Army "Asses and Elephants"
