First blood

I've decided on the "m" scorpio with the text "AB IMO PECTORE" below it. It's latin for "With all my heart". It will be my first ink and it really feels right.
Now my question is where to put it?

Any suggestions?

So ... I'ts monday again. Some monday mornings feel really good to me. I'm talking about the monday mornings when I go to my early yoga class. After a class I always have more energy than before it. It opens my heart to love and when I then come out in the sun of the swedish spring and see the trees getting back their leafs...

But I LIKE to bitch and moan - as one gets older aren't we entitled? I believe I can use the word "curmudgeon" tongue

There is definitely a Swedish hottie just for you - just get out there and find places where you can talk to 'em. Volunteer groups and organizations are good. Even something like a mixed hiking club is good.

I saw the one general SG chat - I didn't know there were others. How about just a Yahoo or Microsoft IM? Those have better time response. Time zone is a challenge - we got -7GMT, -4GMT (we're on summer time here), and +2GMT(?) to deal with. Say, you're the bloody genius scientist - how about if you come up with a plan? vhott and I will follow your lead.
Cheers!

I'm reading a book called "Veronica decides to die" by Paolo Coelho. The story is about Veronica who tries to take her life. The take home message is that you have to let go and alow yourself to be crazy like a coconut to be able to live. I truly recommend you to read it. It's quite thin and, despite its title, really humouruos.

Do...

Hello mates!
Today was areally good day at work. I'm a scientist, a biochemist and in my line of work long times can pass without much progress. Such days it help to have buddies on the net to chat with and of course nice pictures to look at and good stories to read here on SG. But today was one of those rare days when...

Congratulations on your progress! I can relate, as my profession is making computer analysis tools for engineering. Same type of thing - hacking away at the problem until all of a sudden it's finished (and even works too).

People aren't designed to handle long-term happiness (fortunately). If the things that made us happy kept us happy for a long period of time then that would also mean that the things that made us miserable would also keep us miserable for a long time. But I don't agree that suffering has to be the dominant aspect of our life. We can be satisfied most of the time and the occassional bad times simply strengthen us and allow us to appreciate the really good times.

I suppose the real question is how do we achieve "satisfaction"? I would list things like:

  • having family and friends who appreciate us
  • are confident we know where we came from and where we're going (faith/philosopy)
  • we take the time to help others

vhott:
i dont think any one can be happy all the time, but we can be happy part of the time. so i take it as it comes. i suppose ultimately life is what your mind percieves as happieness. the brain is wild piece of equipment. no one is mello all the time.-vhott

Hi!
I'm totally hung over. Went to a "herrmiddag" yesterday. We were 8 men doing menly stuff like cooking and gossiping. A whole lot of schnaps and beer with that. God, I think I have to puke. Don't try this at home kids.
But spring has finally arrived and I love it. It makes life beautiful and worth living.
Have a nice sunday. What are...

Well if you're going to mix schnaps and beer..... puke
I did a Google on "herrmiddag" - it sounds a little like a running (jogging) group concept here in the U.S. called "hashing". Their motto is: "Drinkers with a running problem"

Oh yeah, more exciting times for me - mow the lawn today....

Hello you all!
Today I'm really confused. I told a female friend that I was very tense, thinking of naked women all the time, almost blowing my top. She is a doktor and just for fun I asked her if there was some anti-viagra or something. She answered by sms that she thinks she have a cure for me to lower my pressure. We agreed...

Todays subject is monogamy. I think most of us spend a great deal of time in search of the perfect partner. The perfect lover. The true romantic. The filthy rich. The responsible father/mother of your children. The filosopher with all the answers. The best friend. The trusting no matter what.
Are we chasing a pipe dream?
Does this person exist? Would you fit in on...

ooh! ooh! an insight-
Ever noticed that as you get to know someone of the opposite sex, they also become more physically attractive to you? I s'pose this is just an example of the "adaptiveness" I mentioned.
