Ha... funny to buy such things with checks like that. I'd like to comment on your gun journal entry. Personally I'm not a big fan of guns they have just never appealed to me. I'd rather go out and shoot pictures instead of a gun (there's an interesting poem I read once about that). I've shot guns before as a kid and the interest just never stuck with me. Many people don't obtain or use guns responsibly, and that's where the problem lies. Unlike these types people you have seem to overcome your previous fear of them by educating yourself. If more people acted in this manner such as you have, then we would have more responsible gun owners. But thats not the reality, most don't, you happen to be one of the exceptions. Ultimately guns are instruments desgined to do one thing... kill. Obviously that's never a good thing. Even in self defense cases... killing someone can be a very heavy ordeal.(ofcourse you gotta do what you have to do under such circumstances) .But they're here, and woven in to the fabric of our culture going back to the old west. And, I suppose for some people they are a necessary evil. Going to a shooting range is more of a sport or recreational training way of learning how to use a gun, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Happy shooting. When you get really good try making a smiley face on the target and post a pic of it on here.

Well I was going to comment about your opinions about guns. In a nice way I swear! but now I have a different reason to critique your position...

Your CHOICE of gun.

Too small of bullet. That doesn't have the stopping power to stop someone my size or bigger if they were coming at you with a knife. The next issue is the magazine capacity. SEVEN? If you are comfortable with that few bullets get a revolver at least they won't jam on you. If you are in a situation that actually requires a gun --the honest truth is these are RARE-- you will likely be facing more than one person. As it has a small caliber lets say it takes two bullets per person to insure they are no longer threats to you. You can only take care of three people and that's if you do not miss... in a stress filled combat event. Do not think that in that situation the second magazine is going to help you AT ALL. Also the gun itself is SMALL. Purely designed as a concealable weapon and concealing it is illegal anyway. It also looks poorly balanced so I wouldn't trust it if it came down to wrestling for it.

However all that said, if you want it as a TOY it would make a nice, if overpriced, toy.

PS: I don't know if I got around to saying hi yet, but it was nice meeting you at the brunch after prom. I sat right across from you. Maybe, if you aren't too offended by my unprovoked attack on you, I can give my opinion on the rest of the gun issue sometime?

Here is a similar sized gun with 9mm and and ten per magazine. Its available blued not QUITE as pretty. Who knows maybe you could even get it with the same finish. I would bet it is possible just prohibitively expensive.

If I was looking for a gun for ME, here is the gun I would be looking at. A Glock 20c. Although, I might be happier with a dual action gun.

Yeah too much drinking can be a bad thing...especially when ya make an ass of yourself or other ill things happen.
