The Christmas temps left today, I'm gutted, at least two of them were doing my job better than me. I should leave, every day I spend in work I get closer to being found out as a complete incompetent. I'm going to a bookselling conference next week and that makes it worse because the other managers all look at me in a funny way. I haven't shaved in 4 weeks and I'm going to groom myself a George Harrison style 'tache before I go to alienate myself further. I may have gone mad. Tell my mother that although there was little love between us I always respected her as a bar billiards player.

And I really wanted to see the Bosch/Bruegel exhibition. I didn't know you were planning a murder tour. That would have been fun too.
