What’s your favorite thing about autumn?

Cooler weather, monsoon season, apple cider, pumpkin flavor everything, comfy clothes.

Apple cider for sure! Actually, I need to go grab a cup of the honeycrisp cider in my fridge...

Start making tea in the mornings, get outside as much as possible, pile on the cozy blankets

I'm all about the savory scents. Not sure I can pick just one though.

All of them. Fall colors are my fave year round.

I have a giant skeleton outside but that's about it in terms of decoration. Have a bunch of actual skeletons and bones inside year round though lol...

8. What’s your favorite fall fashion piece — scarves, boots, sweaters, or hats?

All of it! I love actually layering and getting to wear all the cozy clothes.

There's a place upstate New York where I used to go every fall with my dad, out near New Paltz. Still my favorite place to be in the fall.

A little bit of both sounds good.

Don't have a particular favorite I don't think.

Both or neither? Idk! I don't decorate much for holidays

13. What was your favorite Halloween costume you’ve ever worn?

I did a Schrödinger's cat one year which was fun.

14. If you could be any supernatural creature for a night, what would you be?

Something that can fly would be rad 🦇

Treat...who doesn't love a lil treat.

16. Do you believe in ghosts or spirits?

Yes and no.... Historically no, I tend to be a skeptic and like evidence. But a few years ago, I swear the place where I lived had a ghost...

17. Have you ever had a paranormal experience?

I think so... House where I lived when I first moved to Utah I'm pretty sure had a ghost. Thankfully a friendly ghost? The basement always felt like I was being watched. The TV would randomly turn on - to Star Trek specifically (though different ST series!). The way that TV worked was a pain....it couldn't be a cat just stepping on the remote to turn it on, because they also would have had to navigate to a specific input, then a specific app, and go to the specific shows (no cable). Then lights in the basement started turning on by themselves. The lights going on had weird switches - it def wasn't me forgetting them, I would have had to go out of my way to turn them on. They incrementally went on down a hall. Followed the lights and found flooding in the basement. Always felt lioe the ghost was trying to let me know. Had friends who visited and asked about the basement.... Never said anything about the ghost but they also felt a presence. It was only ever downstairs, never the rest of the house. I honestly felt bad when I had to move out, like we had become friends and I had to leave them behind. I hope the new inhabitants are treating them well.

18. Do you enjoy haunted houses or avoid them completely?

Neither really. I don't avoid them, but don't seek them out either. I've never been to a convincing haunted house. Aside from the above sorry about my basement ghost friend, I still remain mostly skeptical....

19. What’s your favorite type of Halloween candy?

Skittles...bonus if they're the wild berry variety 😋🍓

20. What’s your dream spooky night — bonfire stories, scary movie marathon, or ghost hunting adventure?

21. Do you feel the “veil between worlds” thin during this time of year?

I think probably people are just more mentally receptive to the idea of the supernatural and are more likely to view things through that lens

22. What’s one fall ritual or tradition that feels magical to you? ?

Don't really have one but I love pumpkin picking

23. If you could brew a fall potion, what would it do? ?

A sickness cureall would be great (as I'm currently sick and couchbound but the weather is soooo nice and I want to be out enjoying it)

24. What is a local urban legend to you, or one you really enjoy?

I grew up near Amityville so had some fun places to go explore. Feel like all the local stuff in Utah is more depressing given a lot of the history (Meadow Mountain Massacre, Mormon lost boys...) so can't say I "enjoy" much of it :/

25. What’s one word that captures the essence of fall for you?

Cozy
