Tomorrow we close and new buyers officially take over the property my ex and I bought together. This has been such a dragged out process of emotional and financial stress.
The end of the relationship on its own was stressful enough. Imagine being with someone for almost 5 years, buying a house together, and then getting broken up with over text message after they secretly moved out of state. Wtf lol.
And then having to maintain communication for a year due to joint property and having to deal with them constantly shit on you and yell at you for things that have nothing to do with you. (In hindsight, this was clearly not a happy or healthy person, and resented their own share of financial responsibilities with the property and I think I've just become an outlet for frustration that is due elsewhere but hindsight is hindsight and recognizing those things hasn't made it easier to deal with!)
Thankfully everything else in life has been very good, but it's been a lot to deal with and I'm so relieved to finally be done.
