hi hi, I'm overdue for an update - I know. Things have been hectic. I don't want to get too much into personal stuff right now just because other things in life are going better and are more interesting, but tl;dr since a few people have been asking: my ex is making things difficult with resolving our joint interests in the house we bought together and I'm in a pretty precarious financial situation largely because of that and that's been pretty stressful. But the house should be sold around February and then hopefully it's never an issue again.

On the plus side, I've been getting lots of job interviews and while the interview/hiring process for a lot of tech jobs is lengthy af, I feel pretty excited about a couple of companies I'm in final stages of interviews with. I'm still applying for new job postings and accepting new interviews in case neither of those end in an offer, but I think I'm in a good position and new job will help a lot with stabilizing things financially and getting out from under my ex's thumb.

Because I'm me, when I'm not interviewing or applying for jobs I've still been trying to get outside as much as possible. Have recently gotten into canyoneering and am of course still hiking a ton too, and even getting some climbing in. Winter is prime time to be outside in the desert and I feel grateful to be here as things cool down, and grateful to be spending a lot of time with some of my favorite people. I recently hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim with a few friends, and then had a great visit with @adastra also and we got to explore a ton!! Aaand I'm also training for my first marathon which is coming up QUICKLY 😱!

House/financial stress aside - I'm doing really well right now. I think my time on the PCT really helped me reframe a lot of priorities and goals. I feel focused and happy and capable. I feel loved. I feel spoiled both in the place I live, and the people I get to share it with.
