I'm currently drinking Molson XXX, cranking the hell out the new Celtic Frost cd and cleaning out my refrigerator. How's that for a Saturday afternoon combination?
New Cletic Frost? *sob* I still haven't been able to find it. Your so lucky!
I think its cool that you have been listening to Metal for so long. I once heard of this report that not only tried to write off Metal (and even Hard Rock) music as something strictly juvenile, with each Metal fan having an average of seven years before they "grow out of it" and move onto "adult" music. Sounds like bullshit, huh?
I think I have been listening to it for about eight years now, and I see nor desire to see any end in site.
So is the new Celtic Frost worth the wait? I read some bad reviews, but I have a lot of faith in them.
Today is officially the first day of Hurricane season. Fittingly enough, the Carolina Hurricanes won tonight and will proceed to the Stanely Cup Finals!!! I am thrilled beyond belief. My voice is gonna be so hoarse tomorrow since I've been yelling at the TV for the last half hour.
The day at work seemed loooong for some reason. I love my job, but sometimes monotony can creep up. Also, I haven't taken a vacation in quite awhile now (my own fault for not doing so). My goal this year is to do just that...just get away somewhere for awhile. I'm not sure where yet though?
I wasn't too hot for Death Cult Armageddon (the last cd of theirs I bought) - I thought the beginning to the song Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse sounded like it should be in a Batman movie.
I think Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia will always be my favorite cd of theirs, for the fact I think the music is just awesome, and it was the cd used to turn me onto the band.
If only I had money to still buy cds of my loved bands..
I finally got myself to the beach today. Growing up in Eastern North Carolina, I went to the beach every year of my entire life. The Atlantic Ocean has been a part of my life for that long. Well, since I moved more inward here in NC, my beachgoing took an unintentional hiatus. Today, I finally said "Enough!" and headed down to Wrightsville Beach for... Read More
I think both bands are superb on that split (although I preffer Vinterriket), wish I could track down some of Northaunts releases. I know what you mean about Shadows Over The Barren Land, its so ensombre and serene. Give Genevieve by Velvet Cacoon a try, its very ambient sounding Black Metal with a really surreal feel.
It's from one of my top 10 favorite movies, My Left Foot. It's great!
Have a great weekend
