So.........
Last night was pretty knarly....
My roommate Scott, Dan, and I left our house around 12am to clear out Scott's storage unit. I put most of his smaller tattoo equipment in my SUV and Dan put an Ink Bed in the bed of his truck. I drove back to the house and Dan and Scott headed to the shop to drop the Bed off. Around 1am I got a call from Scott saying they had been in a wreck. My heart was jumping out of my chest until I heard Scott and Dan laughing about it, so I drove to where they were and they explained the story to me.
Apparently, a deer jumped out on the highway and Dan slammed on his brakes to avoid killing it. When this happened his brakes somehow gave out and his brake line snapped. They got off the exit to come back to the house, however they couldn't slow down. They veered around a sharp turn and slammed into a dirt barrier going about 60mph then jumped the sidewalk snapping his back axle, yet the damaged truck continued rolling up a one way street.
The one way street was also an uphill street, at least the direction they were coming. The truck slowly decelerated and began rolling backwards, so to avoid hitting parked cars Dan turned his truck and slammed into the side of a hill exposing his front end to oncoming traffic.
We all waited until 3am for a tow truck and prayed that no one would call the cops. Dan was drunk, Scott was high, and I'm Middle Eastern looking haha
Thankfully the tow truck came and we dropped his car off in a church parking lot...
So to celebrate the fact they they're still alive we all going out to get drunk hahahaha =)
