My roommate and I drove home to find one of our dogs dead today.
We weren't sure why until my roommate's mother brought to our attention that the dog food we were feeding both of our dogs had been recalled.
There was a recall on DIAMOND BRAND DOG FOOD last month, however, the DIAMOND BRAND DOG FOOD website denounced the fact of there being any dog food bags on the market besides 4 bags out of 6,000,000 having a strain of Salmonella in it.
After we did more research we discovered a number of cases of doggy deaths due to Salmonella poisoning from DIAMOND BRAND DOG FOOD. All the cases were dropped due to the dog owners not having enough proof that linked the dog food to the dog's death, thus proving to me that the DIAMOND BRAND DOG FOOD are a corrupt company that DO NOT care about animals or the adverse effect their dog food can have to even humans. FUCK DIAMOND BRAND DOG FOOD! I hope their factory gets closed and the President, CEO, and all the Higher Ups go to jail for animal cruelty.
So, please, PLEASE don't feed your dog anything made by DIAMOND BRAND DOG FOOD, and inform all your fellow dog owner friends not to buy it as well. End the animal cruelty and help get the dog food plant closed!

I know there have been a few incidents of shit like this happening with a couple brands that we supply like Wellness, but they've always done voluntary recalls even if the risk is supposedly low.
But I know that there are so many more companies out there who are only in it for the money. Just look at any dog food company that puts corn meal in their food, or has something like 'meat by-product' listed in the ingredients because that can mean ANYTHING. They are actually legally allowed to use roadkill, or dogs and cats that have been euthanized in their food, and some do, they just have to call it 'meat'.
Again, I am so sorry this happened. We don't sell that brand at my shop but I will be sure to let people know about it.
