Yesterday I worked the cheering station that my company set up for the 3 day breast cancer walk, and it was amazing ! The amount of people walking for that cause damn near brought a tear to my eye.
You see my grandmother is a 2 time survivor of breast cancer, and I strongly feel that its partly because of people like that who are willing to give up their time comfort and money, that she was able to get treatments that worked so well for someone her age (first time she got it she was 50 something before i was born, and the last time was when she was in her 80's and she survived !)
I think that I might be doing the walk next year ... the only thing that is going to be standing in my way are funds (you have to raise 2300 to walk it and if you don't make it in pledges it comes out of your pocket.
So now i got one year to make a goal of 2300 .... can he do it ?!
