Its probably rough for her with the dad and the two kids. She's thinking of that before she thinks of a relationship. She's probably not wanting to complicate her life any more than it is already.
I do think she likes you, she's just afraid of the added stress a relationship might bring on. Like the others said, take it slow, show her you care and you're someone she can depend on when she needs it and someone she can have fun with when she's not having a bad day.

I love the quetzal...and it is a really bright bird! As an added bonus, the bird itself is symbolic of freedom and sometimes called a freedom bird as it is almost impossible to keep in captivity (until a zoo in Mexico succeeded in 1992). Word has it the birds often killed themselves once caged.
