I went to the health club today and thought of some more reasons why I don't like it there. The main one is that I am fucking WEAK right now. I can't lift weights. Seriously, a few short years ago, the weight I tried to lift today wouldn't have phased me. I'm ashamed.
I know I know, physical ability and strength is not the most important quality a person can have. I try not to rely or depend on any physical features as a measure of a person's worth, but for me, I am more on top of almost everything when I'm healthy. Its the breath, its the blood, its the awareness that comes with moving them.
Aside from that, there's is, for me, the issue of self-preservation. Health was something I felt blessed with, and deserving of. It came easy. I didn't get sick a lot as a kid. I've never had allergies. So I shrugged it off. Can't any more.
The Dirty Thirties are right around the corner. I have to start preparing for my Eighties before I never see my Sixties.
That, and I want to be able to wrestle wild cats.

I was always a healthy kid as well. But when I lived in Sacramento I was sick a lot. I blame the smog.
