Once again I find myself in a situation that is all too familiar. My truck had to go in the shop on Wednesday. It's now Friday and my boss has went home to his family for the weekend while I sit 1000 miles from home with no load to run and no prospect of getting one until at least Monday. That will be 6 days of sitting before I actually get to pick a load up and start rolling. that's one day shy of a full week off without pay. I sometimes wonder what it was I did to piss my boss off enough to hate me this much. I remember, it's not what I did... it's what I didn't do. I have refused to kiss his ass for the last 5 years and will continue to refuse for the next five or until I find a new job. Until that day, it really sucks to be me sometimes, but at least I still have my integrity. that's more than I can say for the drivers he found loads for while he left me sitting.
