Time for a blog update:
I'm going to try and keep this quick, as I have a trashy romance novel next to me that is begging to be read, in a very husky voice, no less.
My hair: As you can see from my video and the photo I added, it's blue/teal. In my video, I mentioned that I had intended for there to be a lot of blonde highlights, but it didn't work out. Now, what would have been blonde is fading in a very ugly way, and my boss is a bit peeved at me. So, the teal is sort of on the way out. I'm saving as much as I can, but since I just had a lot of my hair chopped off because it was so damaged, we will see what happens. I will be sure to make a video on Sunday to show you the final product.
Dog adoption: In my first blog, I had discussed my plans to adopt a deaf Pit Bull from a rescue in IL. My current dog and I were getting very excited to go visit her again before bringing her home, but then we got the dreaded email. As it would seem, Ms Pittie is having some behavioral issues, and the rescue does not want to have her so far away, as they want to continue working with her and potential new owners with training on a regular basis. As it's a three hour drive one way, I cannot reasonable do that. I'm pretty bummed about it, and no, I likely will not be getting a second dog. I was pretty set on this one, and my folks didn't really want a second dog in their house.
Brazilian Wax: Not that bad. I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about. It wasn't pleasant, sure, but I wasn't yelling out in pain or crying. In fact, there were a few times where the waxing made me laugh. Then again, it could have been the vicodin I took before the appointment. I still chalk it up to me being awesome.
Other news: I will be volunteering for the Wisconsin Film Festival, so be sure to come out, watch some great movies, and support a wonderful event. Plus, we can hang out! The movies will be officially announced tomorrow through both The Isthmus and the Wisconsin Film Festival website, and tickets go on sale on Saturday. If you need a movie suggestion, I would recommend the horror film trilogy. Blood Hook, the story of IL kids in WI being killed in fishing accidents, sounds very promising.
And now, off to read about lesbian vampires, red headed witches, and maybe some elves.

I assumed you got your hair did at your salon. Okay, I could see a boss getting uppity about it. Not that I would agree with it.
Oh my... what if soccer moms starting getting teal hair?!? Maddness!
And you're very welcome
