Yeah, I wouldnt worry either. I have to go in to get that done as well. My dentist said he wants me to go to an oral surgen, cause he doesnt feel safe doing it himself. I have nerves wraped around the roots of my last remaing wisdom tooth. So to extract it (its growing in sideways, pushing on my molar), he's affraid he'd cut the nerve. Hence: makeing me go numb completly on the left side. Not cool Zeus.
But it can most definetly make you numb for a couple days, just from the extraction itself and all the novacain. If youre worried, and still numb tomorrow morning, call your denist. Ask him whats up and what his opinion is on it.

Also, I usually come out of the denist completly numb and not feeling any part of the side of my face he worked on. I get so doped up on novacain, its like that for the majority of the day and well into the night. Also makes me pretty loopy and druged feeling.

Adding on to what others have said I have this little tip.

If you get the feeling that something sharp is poking it's way out of your gums where your wisdom teeth had once been, don't panic. The same thing happened to me and it subsided.

Of coures, it would have been nice if my oral surgeon fucking warned me about that shit.

Other than than, no complaints.
