A bartender ripped me off yesterday. Well, Im not sure if he meant to or not, but I bought a rum and coke for $6 and paid with a twenty. What I got back however, was $4. Now, Im not adverse to bartenders taking out a little gratuity before they give the change back, but (a) they usually tell you and (b) they dont take a nearly 200% tip. Thats just ridiculous.
Why didnt you say something? you ask?
Cause I didnt notice until twenty minutes later when it was too late. Yes, I nursed that drink for twenty minutes. I wanted to make it last, sue me. I was actually trying not to spend too much money cause I was supposed to go see a couple of random local punk/metal bands play at the Casbah here in San Diego with leavemehere.
I said 'supposed to' because we ended up bailing on the show. We got there at seven thinking the doors would at least be open. They werent. The bouncer told us they would open around eight, so we went to the aforementioned bar. I had a (highly overpriced) rum and coke and a Newcastle.
So we drove back over there around 8:50 / 9. They were just going to open the doors, but the band we actually wanted to see wouldnt start till 10. They were the last band on the four band bill and they would start at 10. Hmmm 3 bands in one hour? Not worth my money since the sets would only be around 10 / 15 minutes apiece.
So we ended up buying our tickets for the SG Burlesque show and leaving.

In other news:
The apartment hunt still continues. Ive been looking at places left and right, but have still to find something that captures my fancy. I want a nice little place that isnt too ghetto. Is that too much to ask? I think not! And my deadline is fast approaching.
Still open to a cool SG roomie if I have any takers. I could probably swing a $600 - $700 rent, but would prefer it lower if at all possible. And whatever I end up paying I would want the roomie to pay as well. That is to say, I want it to match. And I wanna be all moved in and done by the end of February.
Any takers?????
