we chase misprinted lies / we face the path of time / and yet I fight, and yet I fight / this battle all alone / no one to cry to / no place to call home
my gift of self is raped / my privacy is raked / and yet I find, and yet I find / repeating in my head / if I can't be my own I'd feel better dead
-Alice In Chains: Nutshell
Hmmm Im not entirely sure how to start this entry. I usually have so much to rant and vent about. But in actuality, my lifes going pretty good lately. Ive been having wonderful conversations with a certain little lady (
), and am planning a visit to hang out with her (
)... something that I am definitely looking forward to (
). I do, however, have an ulterior motive for the visit. I do want to meet her, and hang out with her, but I also want to check out the town that she lives in.
For a while now Ive been contemplating moving away from Sunny San Diego. I never truly believed, nor felt, as though I belonged in this town. And lately, it seems as though I am right. The nightlife is something that I do not partake in; mainly because I am not one for clubs or scenes. I tend to gravitate more towards small quiet coffeehouses, or imitate little quiet spots (parks and whatnot). But it seems as though this town is not made for it.
I also have a problem with my job. Simply put: I hate it. I used to love helping people, and I truly still do, but I cannot bear this beurocracy any longer. Nor can I stand being personally blamed for having to enforce the Federal laws that govern my job. Sorry. I just cant stand it.
So Ive come to the realization (after many talks with great friends) that I am not made for this town. I want out. So, while I am certainly going to enjoy my stay with my friend, I am also going to have the thought of a potential new town in the back of my head. I hope this doesnt complicate the fun to be had, or the friendship itself. And I certainly hope this doesnt affect my ability to be fun.
Its hard to think when all the tiny horses are crying

I want out of mine too.
Thing is, the town I grew up in, I left that- went to an even smaller town...just nothing left here for me. My family, but at some point I'll need to break away, you know?
Hell, not even my boyfriend lives here.
