So yeah, I'll edit as just 'cos I'm currently a bit below par it's no reason to bring the rest of the world down. Hey, I have a councellor to be miserable to now anyway! wink

Methadone Pretty counts her blessings, cos there's always a glimmer of something in the darkness.

*Just like Alan Partridge, I have a man at the petrol station I talk to....

Monday update:

*WARNING!*

I've just realised I sound like a fucking miserable cow in this entry so apologies. But I am at the moment and I can't help it.

Tuesday, 6.00am. The alarm goes off. And so my day begins

I drag myself out of bed after 10 minutes of mental coercion, repeating to myself that it is only four days left till the weekend....

How the hell did I end up here?

*I split up with Dave on Saturday. The relationship was beginning to fizzle out after 5 years together, so I thought it best to end it. The trouble is, I still love him- I'm just not physically attracted to him. Is this a good reason to end a relationship?

*I have strong feelings for one of my...

You SHOULD write them down tho - lord knows that there's enough stuff being made that almost anybody could do better than you MIGHT have a shot at becoming atleast somewhat better off wink.

I mean, how many times do we NEED some of those movies to be made/remade - like all those TV show movies, ferinstance.

hello there,
yes that Stay Beau scene is quite interesting on an anthropological level, though it does get a bit seedy watching fortysomething Rod Stewart wannabes chatting up glammy 14 year olds who then redouble their pulling efforts after they find out how old the kid really is puke

Also I wonder if you'll be covering the International Manga Art Festival in your professional capacity, sounds like it could be fun...
Then the following week (on the 26th) Paul Gravett has his latest book launch at the ICA, if you don't know Paul you should try to hook up with him he's the David Attenborough of comics, and a real sweetie... wink

Hey, to everything there is balance, right? Right!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! biggrin biggrin biggrin

I now change my status from 'tabloid-journalist-scum-in-training' to 'regional tabloid journalist scum' - The Flintshire Evening Leader offered me a job as a trainee reporter! I've got a funny feeling this was one of the jobs I applied for when I was off my face waaay back in April...surreal

Yep, my degree actually counts for shit. I'm only the second person I know of...

Heh heh, say hello to Methadone Pretty BA Hons... biggrin wink

Today I graduated from uni with a FIRST in Journalism. Oh yes, the hard work (and hard drinking) paid off in the end.

I'd like to thank all my lecturers, my friends in computerland and real land and my good friends Whiskey, Vodka, Bacardi and Malibu. Oh and Champaigne, which I'm currently enjoying (hence the slight...

and glad to hear you like my art wink my writing/ communication skills suck so it's nice to have another chanel to let it out.

Have fun job hunting now! wink

Thanks for complimenting my headgear on the Manko's page.
That's my fetish hat v.2 (fetish in a witch doctor sense) it's actually quite an important piece magickally speaking but I can't be more specific...

The wankers at the art show were the types who will come and stand in between you and the person you're talking to and take over your conversation. They were for the most part rich, pumped up on their own self importance and buying art they don't understand because someone told them it was cool. The really vile thing way that their bad behaviour was not only tolerated but encouraged.

Oh. My. God.

I've just sold my first article to a magazine in the UK! If you've heard of Neo Magazine (UK's only anime/ Asian culture magazine) then in 2 months' time you should get treated (or tortured) by my viewpoint on GTO. All for the princely sum of 3.50. And 30 for me, hurrah! biggrin biggrin

In other news, I am still awaiting my degree results....

no - I WANT to see it on an IMAX screen - there was WAY to much stuff goin' on wink.

The space battle was like WWii and pirate battles smashed together with the capital ships lining up for broadsides (in the same plane no less!) while fighters flew around them dogfighting and buzzard droids (WTF??) flew around eating the fighers. I mean - haven't these people ever heard of missles? At least the capital ships had a big cannon (welll, one of them did) - but what was up with the shell casings? LOL. Oh well.

Vader's Noooooo didn't bother me particularly, nor the Wookies on vines doing tarzan (aside from - where were those vines attached? some flying cruiser or something? sheesh wink ) - I don't remember the audience laughing at Vader either when he did that - the theatre I saw it in was one people that "believe" go see things in so that might be part of it.

I think I'm going to go see it again at the local Muvico monster-mega-plex (24 screens of movie goodness - it's fun when they've got 24 screens but they're only showing 6 movies) just to get a different take on the audience and the projection system (I'm not that much a theatre bigot but - well, yeah, I guess I am smile ) - where I saw it had a 2nd generation print and state of the art sound tuned by trained people that care, while most theatres get 3rd+ generation prints and sound systems tuned by monkeys smile.

BTW, I never bothered to grow up - altho I did get a job (well, a bunch - like 1 every two years for the last 20 or so - with 1 5 year stop and 1 3 year stop - who needs vacation smile ). Growing up is overrated anyway smile.

and I'll second the voting thing - vote him out so you guys yank your support for Iraq, maybe Bush'll get the idea.

Not.

Sigh.

And thanks biggrin

hello darlin'
tis a shame you'll miss our party, spread the word though to any pals you think might like it.
I'll certainly play some moi Dix Mois & Malice Miser, not exactly the easiest listening for the un-initiated but it's my call ha ha ha!

PIMP magazine is very london-centric but should be out in indie record & clothes shops around the country. Issue 2 is out now & I should be in #3. If your local record shop doesn't have it point them towards the website and I'm sure they'll be able to order some in.

looking forward to seeing your recycled curtain dress. DIY is the only way to get the best clothes xxx

Hmm, it may be time for an update...

For those interested, my short shorts are now to be found in my pics folder as well as under my dress wink They are truly the naffest piece of clothing I own. Anyone got anything sillier? I wanna see!

My current addictions are:

cake (of all varients, especially chocolate)
Yellowfin tuna in olive oil. Aaand it's healthy- bonus!...

The end of Feburary is supposed to bring spring innit? I feel cheated- it's bloody snowing outside! Yay for snow 'tho biggrin

Last nite I walked barefoot in the snow. I love doing it. The first few steps are heavenly, like the softest carpet you've ever felt. Then the cold hits you like a freezing knife, owch. Then again, I've always been a bit masochistic, ho...

that Sindy on hot coals thing is really cool, mrATOMIC used to do similar mischief to his action man too. I love the sick things people get up to with their dolls.
I had a dreadful clockwork clown that used to freak the living shit out of me when I was still underage. Hence you actually might be the only person who loves clowns, yes. Congratulations.

Dancing to living dead girl would be rather hot. I have yet to try it though frown I don't go out to clubs very often.

Heh heh, welcome to silly season...

In the last 2 weeks we have...
