I have been writing like a madman. Desperate to finish as much as I possibly can. I feel like the dying tree that produces an abundance of fruit in it's last season, in hopes of leaving seedlings.

Don't know why I feel so dire, but at least its productive.

Slamming tonight at Waves, 65 Post Street, San Jose California, 8 pm

Hope to win some...

Okay so I have a conflict. Just yesterday I posted here that I was going to the Palo Alto Poetry Slam to compete. Maybe win some money (You gotta be an optimist about these things).

However I just realized that I made a commitment to Lorin Partridge

who is hosting a jello wrestling show at the First Street billiards in San Jose.

Not only...

I am going to compete in the Palo Alto Poetry Slam this Sunday (If I can make the list). For those of you that don't know from Palo Alto it is on the San Francisco penninsula and is probably most famous for being the home of Stanford University.

The slam starts at 8 PM Sunday, at 539 Alma Street, cover is five dollars (there is...

DANGER DANGER DANGER

POETRY WARNING!!
POEM ABOUT TO COMMENCE

The following is the first version of my new slam poem. It is a true story and is one of those jumping up and down and screaming pieces. I haven't recorded it yet, though I probably will. And it will almost certainly get a further edit.

One more warning: this poem has some violent imagery

Thanks.

I enjoyed your poetry. I think I might read it to my son. He likes poetry and that one would be up his alley.

You should post the words and and audio file. I love to hear the differences between how i interpret what I read and how the writer interprets it vocally. I am interested... wink

Been incredibly busy lately.

Wrote two new slam poems. Started three new stories, been trying to find food and housing and day job. Been performing. Been working (and playing) with young poets.

And I still somehow found time to post this.

I am such a multitasker.

Question: why do I always find myself hanging out with lesbians? (well... they're lesbians most of the time anyway).

So I won the San Jose Poetry Slam last night. Did A new piece that I had just finished writing about an hour before the slam titled "South San Jose Snoozle in Slam, Not by Dr Suess".

It was fun and the audience seemed to enjoy it.

Second round I did "Throwin' Rocks" my poem about the wonderfully chaotic woman that changed my life. Made...

I told him I couldn't promote in less than twenty-four hours and we should just...
