You should post the words and and audio file. I love to hear the differences between how i interpret what I read and how the writer interprets it vocally. I am interested... wink

congratulations I'm looking foward to it smile

Been incredibly busy lately.

Wrote two new slam poems. Started three new stories, been trying to find food and housing and day job. Been performing. Been working (and playing) with young poets.

And I still somehow found time to post this.

I am such a multitasker.

Question: why do I always find myself hanging out with lesbians? (well... they're lesbians most of the time anyway).

So I won the San Jose Poetry Slam last night. Did A new piece that I had just finished writing about an hour before the slam titled "South San Jose Snoozle in Slam, Not by Dr Suess".

It was fun and the audience seemed to enjoy it.

Second round I did "Throwin' Rocks" my poem about the wonderfully chaotic woman that changed my life. Made...

So my brother called me from Utah today (I didn't force him to live there, don't blame me), he told me that he had some money for me.

When our older brother died, long ago, our father bought graves for all the members of the family. Since then my father and mother have been buried there. But my surviving brother and sister and I no...

I competed in the poetry slam last night in San Jose. I was extremely sick, ended up puking for about a half hour after the show.

I still won. Got some much needed prize money.

Go figure

So I have booked the next two features for my little open mic poetry show at the bikini/lingere coffee bar.

This Saturday the featured poet is Aaron Gardner. He was a team-mate of mine on the 2001 San Jose Slam team and he has some amazing poetry. He doesn't slam anymore but he agreed to read for me so I am very stoked about this....

So the show last night "A Really Open Mic" at Sugars Coffee Bar went better than expected. Everyone who came for the show except me (the host) and Anthony (the feature poet) was late. I found out later that one of the places I'm listed (auraltradition.com) listed us start starting an hour after we were actually scheduled to start.

Oh well, poets are always late...
