School starts again tomorrow. What to do with my last day? I actually think I may go in to school today and start getting a few things set up so that I have less to do at the end of the week. In some ways, I guess I am just resigned to the fact that the break is over. Sigh. It's really hard to know...

How long have you been teaching?
I think it's nice to know that teachers feel the same way as we do about going back.
_holden_:
I hope your first day of teaching went well and you begin to find your routine. I know that is something I struggle with as well. The guy who did the stabbing is in custody and he wasn't a student, but my anxiety gets the best of me. I did have a good first day of school though. Take care. kiss

Another tough start to the school year. We are within two weeks of going back and two seniors from the school where I work were killed in a car accident last night. So sad. I hate beginning the year with grief counseling. It makes the academics and everything else seem so insignificant. But the academics are my job. It is hard to be good at...

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of the seniors. I have faith in the fact that you are a kind and caring person who will be able to guide the kids through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hang in there. kiss

Master cleanse. If I say master cleanse, do you know what I'm talking about. The wife is doing it to get clean, I'm joining in for at least a couple days as kind of a science experiment. I'm curious of what happens, but I'm not sure I've got the commitment for a ten day stretch. Whoever said that you don't get hungry is a liar....

I had sugar withdrawals. I actually drank beetroot and celery juice because it was the sweetest product I was allowed to consume.

It's been over a week since I've updated. I'm not sure where the last week has gone. Overnight sleep study. New meds (happy pills for my unhappy brain chemistry). Watched some movies. Read Cormac McCarthy's new book The Road. New set from my friend Annika. More bad news from my friend Holdin. Go give her some love. She deserves it. Painting the...

I loved the illustrations. I feel like one would have to have some sort of nerve to even think of putting illustrations in a book one should "take seriously". I loved it. smile I'm starting another.. "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater." Is there an underline option in this application? You get my drift.

So the trip to Niagra was a little disappointing. Already exhausted from the visit from my sister-in-law and her husband and one and half year old, when we got to the Niagra area and met up wit my folks, I ended up coming down with some sort of strange stomach flu sort of thing. We never even saw the falls. Ended up cutting the trip...

Ugh. Helped friends move yesterday. Why do always have friends that own heavy furniture. Feeling a little sluggish in the muscles today. And to make it all the more fun, my sister-in-law and her husband and baby are coming to visit today. They will be here from Wed. to Sat. and they are not exactly nice people. But I have a long list of cleaning...

So over the weekend we went to the most extravagant wedding I have ever been to. Holy Nuptials, Batman! To begin as a gesture just to give an idea, the ceremony was outside in a little enclosed yard area with the chairs set up in front of a wrought iron gazebo type structure. The isle leading up to the gazebo was about 4 feet by...

Somewhere between sleep deprivation and heat exhaustion and being unemployed lies the latest bought with depression. It is just so hard to motivate myself to do anything. I have been painting some at the house and I've been helping an artist friend with her mural some. But it is hard get started with anything. I'm on here at 4:00 in the afternoon on a Friday....

I don't really have enough friends to throw a house warming party, but if I did you would definitely be invited. Hope you are having a nice Sunday.

The rains have come and forced me to put the doors back on the jeep. But it has also brought the temperature down. It's a nice change of pace. Too bad it hasn't helped me to sleep at all. Maybe the 80 oz. of Olde English was the problem? Maybe it's the sunburn? Maybe it's just the fact that I still suck at sleeping. But...

Of course if it came down to it there'd be a few of you. I just realized I think I'm safe, the videos have been taken off old roommate's video camera and put onto CDs and I don't think she knows too much about that sort of technology, converting it to something to put online, I mean? I hope. The boyfriend how ever is a different story.. but he knows I don't want it up. smile

that was the sentence to ilustrate the pic...

It's too hot to be spackelling and sanding and installing trim boards and painting. This jobs aren't as much fun as the outdoor mural. Maybe I'll go back out there tomorrow. And the weather is supposed to break to. I feel like I've melted a bit inside.
