Its a story with an unconventional ending and Ive decided to flee the countryto Venice, Italy to be exact. This summer Im leaving this tragic place behind. I want to forget everything and everyone.
I want to be that struggling artist who makes her home in the rundown inn. My room will be right above the rickety docks so I can hear the gondoliers as they come and go. I will wake up and fall asleep to their songs as they are the most beautiful melodies anyone would be privileged to hear.
Then just as the sun sets, I will come sit on those docks with paint and canvas in hand, watch the passers-by, and wait until the last gondola has been tied to its home. I will watch the lovers that kiss in the moonlight and live vicariously through them. That passion will be my inspiration to create masterpiece after masterpiece.
