As for the first category of friendships consider this...what you consider as a weirdness might be exceedingly freeing to others and make them respect you more because you refuse to bury that side of you. Treat you better than you are...?? Maybe not. Maybe just treat you like you deserve. Just a thought.

Otay official answer on whether they are replacing our summer help is... they don't freakin know! I work @ Freightliner in Cleveland(NC) It's a relatively good place to work. You can go to the ESC to apply. It would be best to come to the ESC in Salisbury, but I think you can do it from Charlotte. Starting pay is like $12 and some change/hour with full medical and such from day 1. The ESC will tell you that you need 3 years of diesel experience, but you don't. I think they are pretty much hiring 'warm' bodies. It's a haul from south Charlotte, but there are people who do it. You'd top out in 4 years and top pay is $21.85/hour right now and second and third shift pay a $.45 and $.55 shift differential, respectively, plus we will get a $.50 raise @ the end of this year. Anyway just puttin that out there for your viewing pleasure. Good luck with the job hunt!

Man, that was LONG. I just skimmed it, but it was interesting. I also think you get outside pressure to date OR stick with "nice guys" from friends and family. Another thing I hate is when you're with a nice guy, who everyone adores, and no one can believe they have any flaws, or that they're hard to live with.
I was a geek magnet in high school for some reason. They tried to sell themselves as nice guys (not that I was interested in nice guys at the time!
), but in reality, some of them were just jerks who happened to be geeky and unpopular.
