For about four and a half years, I have tried to be the best son I could be for both of my parents as a primary caregiver. Fir the last 15 years, I have been there to maintain the home, the lawn, and anything that they couldn't do any longer.
This last week, we moved my mother into a permanent care center for people who are far into dementia. My dad needs far more help than I can give but is fighting tooth and nail with my sister and I to have his way.
It has been a very long road so far... often being solo for this time.
Sometimes all you can do is hope the people in your life understand how hard you have tried to do the right thing.
Take care of yourselves and the people you love...

I’m so sorry to hear about that mate, that is an unfortunate situation to be in. But you’re doing the best that you can do. Don’t beat yourself up over it, I think you done the right thing. At least your mother is taking care of by ppl who know what their doing. You’re a good man @magusjoe and a good son imo! 👍🏻
