So I just paid off my student loans in full. The relief is tangible.

Thank'ee on both. Just sent the contract off to the artist. Step by step, we make the fun.

I'm always interested in the mindset of, "If you scan this with the same attention to symbolism that finds the meaning in tarot cards, what do you see?" Mapping them to existing tarot cards could be interesting, too, of course.

And you're right. It was seriously a stroke of awesome fortune to be able to hire this artist. I'd been scanning portfolios for years, noting my favorites, and this guy was right at the top.

So Metallica just played our launch party... That was interesting, and a bit surreal. Man, Lars Ulrich is a skeezy looking guy in person.
baudot:
Were any trolls summoned in the course of the launch party?
toothpickmoe:
This is not shocking.

So things are starting to lock down and wrap up on Black Ops. We just put out another set of videos for our MP modes. Check 'em out.

I think we have done a pretty damn good job of things this time around.

Also, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is excellent. If you haven't seen it yet,...

There's two copies in the Oakland friends group now, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays when I get back, myself.

Saw a few more promising demos today. The one I'm most excited to try a full-length game of ASAP is 51st State. Post-apocalyptic nation (re)building with a clever plunder-or-ally-or-build option for a deck full of location cards.

Well It's only been about a month since I checked in. I guess that is an improvement?

The Call of Duty: Black Ops party is in full swing, and that means of course that I am now working positively insane hours until (at least) September. Looks like I will be scripting a couple of levels, along with my usual coding responsibilities which is both nice...

Hey guys,

Quick PSA, check out the Humble Indie Bundle. It is five spectacular indie games ($80 if bought separately). You name your own price, 1/3 go to the developers, 1/3 to the EFF and 1/3 to the Child's Play Charity Fund. It's a great cause that nets you some really awesome games. I can't recommend it enough. Hurry though, I think there...

Alright, my droogies, it is crunch time again. It isn't too crazy, not yet at least. Currently looking at 9 to 9, Monday through Thursday, and one day of the weekend. It sounds like they are going to try and go on and off crunch this project. I hope that is the case, because if not I have many months of an increasingly grueling schedule...

Tentatively, I should overnight the 5th in LA.
baudot:
A most generous offer. While I haven't yet lined up my housing for the two nights in LA, I'm more than a little concerned about interfering with your ladyfriend's sleep schedule. I do keep odd hours.

It was really great seeing everyone at the Screw Off Gift Exchange last night, and I am very excited to throw down using Portland rules next year.

Well it has been just on this side of forever, hasn't it? Hope everyone is doing well. I did one of the "drops of the Earth because he is working too much" things for the last six months or so. I have also been contending with getting my girlfriend, Julia, settled into the new place, and all that it entails.

So what is the same?...

Haa haa, yeah there's been a lot of that. But then there are the times when stuff falls from the sky in clumps and all falls on one person.

If I may proffer a musical selection for your perusal, you may want to check out Movits!, they may just rock your world.

What, you need more convincing? Well, can't argue with that, try this on for size.

Hard to sing along with the Swedish, but I dig it.
