Today...drove down to Freiburg. I wanted to go to the Swartzwald for a while now, and so I decided to go today and see some more of Germany. Although Freiburg was very city like, after driving for about 10 minutes I found myself in the middle of a tiny village at the base of some of the mountains in the area. So my friend Brian and I went to a small Cafe in the middle of the valley, a little more removed from the village. The food was great, and then we decided to go walking around the mountains some. After that, I had decided that I have to have Swartzwald Gateau in it's home. It was awesome. Next time I venture down that way I plan on bringing some of my sleeping gear and just staying up in the mountains for a few days.
Tomorrow...considering driving to Metz. I read something about one of the patron saints of Beer or Brewing having a statue there, and it's France. I take a test to see how proficient I am in French in a few weeks for the military, so I want to try to remember as much as I can so I can score high, and France has some awesome wine and is the only place to actually get a Baguette.

Yeah, French bread sticks are amazing. Plus they dip croissants in hot chocolate... FOR BREAKFAST. Whats not to love?
