Yes, yes, I've been MIA. For no good reason other than I just haven't bothered coming on the site. One thing I did notice is half my friends list went grey so I have pared that down immensely. All in efforts to be more social, it's time for me to start branching out again and bulk up the ranks. Not that the people on my...

hehe! yeah, a friend told me about the horny pandas at the San Diego Zoo. it's awesome! biggrin

it's funny, but i chose my username because of an almost life-long family nickname. then i go to the Atlanta zoo, and find that their panda department(?) is named Pandamonium! i bought a pair of shorts with that word on the ass.

good times. biggrin

I am back amongst the online community. Thanks, phone company!

I'm in my apartment, still not with much stuff but that's a gradual process given than I've been working so much lately. Eventually I'll have a living room all squared away, then it will be cocktail hour at the Jesuspad (thx sarahg tongue).

Portland has now had 100 inches of snow on the season, apparently...

How're you liking Maine? I am incredibly jealous of your snow. I can't believe you said you're sick of winter and the snow...blasphemy! tongue we've had a rough reason but it's been snowing the last few days and we've got a new 30cm! Nothing like you guys but it's making me happy biggrin Are you anywhere near a good ski hill? (sorry...I really don't know anything about that region! blush )

I hope you're keeping well! kiss
rxqueen:

So it was back to a brief stint of early wakeups this morning as I'm filling in mornings. This amazing hotel that doesn't even have an ice machine also doesn't bother to plow their driveway until sunrise apparently. But for those of us who have the luxury of four-wheel drive, that's never a problem. Heh. Five minutes of being stuck on a ledge of snow...

So begins the third week for me in Maine, and another snowstorm is knocking on the door. It seems I just can't shake that perpetual snow cloud over my head. The upside to that is I'm back on the slopes in a couple of weeks... I've got an appearance scheduled all the way up at Saddleback, an area I've always wanted to check out but...

Some people are true anuses. (anii?) Take for instance my landlord-to-be, or so I thought. He went away for a week, which prevented me from physically delivering him a deposit check. I checked in with him a few days ago about the apartment. "Sure, we'll talk when I get back!" All is well right? So he gets back, says, "well, that apartments not available anymore,...

Well, all my clothes (the ones I brought with me) are in the washing machine, and after that's taken care of, it's pop-into-work-for-half-an-hour and then back to New Hampshire, one last time. Gotta clean out the old apartment, take the remaining few items, drop my apartment keys off at the landlords, and say good-bye to the Upper Valley, thus officially closing a nearly six-year chapter...

So, day one at work went well. Err, 'cept for my car not starting downtown in the Public Market parking garage. Good thing I have a jumpstart kit. Plugged in to the wall, charging back in NH, mind you, with my last load of stuff. Due to the amount of accidents and such in Monday night's storm, I had to freeze my nuts off for...

Welcome to Maine... The Way Life Should Be.

Today marks day one of the new job and as a Mainer! Technically I'm still a NHer, seeing as how I still have my apartment til the end of the month and still have a handful of things to move out of there. I'm doing the hotel (errm, economy efficiency suite) thing through the end of the...
