A mated pair of peregrine falcons have chosen to spend most of their time hanging around an elm tree at the very back corner of my lot. I don't know what they are eating, as the area is decidedly suburban, but- possibly they are keeping the local rabbit population under control. I haven't seen any sign of a nest or of any young... possibly they were unsuccessful in hatching anything this year.

My spouse was able to get a few pictures with a telephoto; if i get a chance, I will attach a couple of them.

We have a very young rabbit living (or at least running to safety) under the side of our house., No pictures of it, sorry, but very young rabbits are very cute. Most years, one rabbit will claim our backyard as personal territory, though typically allowing one other rabbit to visit as long as it doesn't get too close. Some of these rabbits will calmly munch our grass within 1 1/2 feet 9half a metre) of us if we don't move too quickly. And I'd rather live in an environment with an ecosystem strong enough to support some wildlife, than in a sterile environment. I'm willing to sacrifice a few flowers. About all that I ask is that they let at least some of the tulips in the front yard live to bloom,,, they leave the ones in the garden beside the house alone, but they eat the ones in the front yard within a day of the tulips poking above the ground frown

(I do have some pictures of rabbits from previous years, but as I was using a short-lens camera for theml, the images are generally too small to make out clearly.)

The falcons turn out to be Merlins instead of Peregrine.
I've added a few pictures.
