edit the following is one of my favorite gags.

Person A: [pretends to pick up a phone and starts talking into it] You don't say... you don't say! [pretends to hang up]
Person B: Who was it?
Person A: S/he didn't say.

Some doodles I scanned yesterday or so.

With the first two you can tell I was in a bad mood.

Yes, this last is a cartoonish rendering of Stevie Nicks. I don't know how long ago I drew it but I think it turned out pretty good. I also don't know whether I drew it looking at a picture of her, or if I'd just seen her face so often (I was a big fan) that at that point I could draw her fairly well from memory.

On one sheet of paper I wrote the following. I space it the same as on the paper. There's a smiley in there that is hard to draw with symbols.

"Must be sufficiently LO-Res
to not take a-much web
space!!
--> I mußt be able to
life with it, for long
... of time!
CONTENT! >~<
No slaving over layout,
m'dear!"

Yesterday I woke up feeling like death reanimated. (Inferi?) I felt very sore all over, my entire body ached. Thought I was going to throw up. Didn't though. Took some Tylenol and managed to fall asleep again eventually.

On waking (around noon), in spite of feeling somewhat shitty, I felt motivated enough to drag my sorry ass to the grocery store, where I had a panic attack and bought about $100 worth of groceries. Now I have FOOD! Food that I can EAT! And I have eaten some and it's good. Because I need to eat so I'm not so nutritionally deficient.

I loooove grape tomatoes so much. So sweet and yummy and delicious.

Oh and I'm never going back to the grocery store down the street now that I know the one further out carries cherry coke in CANS.

So OMG! I submitted two CDs to freedb! Freedb is a CD database. It can call up the album information when you pop in a CD. It does this by looking at how long each track is, which is usually unique to every CD (in very rare cases two CDs can have the same number of tracks of the same length... but it will give you a list of the two and you can pick which CD is the right one). So I submitted the two discs of this compilation album Café Buddha. It came out in June apparently. It's an import and it has a rare Annie track on it.

Looks like someone else submitted disc 1 around when I did and they took that submission and not mine. Or maybe they got both. But they took what I submitted for the second disc and it got messed up shocked The artist and song title are switched! But I just followed the directions to correct the entry, so hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Last night Redbeard3 and I watched this whole 2-hour long Norwegian awards show together. It was actually a lot of fun to watch with him. We chatted the whole time, sometimes doing a running commentary like MST3K or something, it was great. He agreed to edit the video so it's just the parts I wanted, which was so awesome of him! Now we have a nice ~43 meg video of Annie performing Chewing Gum, winning for best pop album, losing for the Årets Låt category (best single I think), and winning Årets Nykommer (best newcomer). I just love those letter As with the circles on them.

Whenever it starts to look feasible that I could move out on my own, and if I'm earning enough money (*crosses fingers*) I am going to look into whether they make TVs that get absolutely no reception whatsoever under any circumstances. No "antenna" jack. Nada. Just the A/V ports so I can play video games. Hell, maybe such a TV would have MORE A/V ports than the average evil reception-getting television so I could hook in ALL of my consoles AND my DVD player.

But see, our current TV? I actually bought it with my own money. So it's mine, and when mom and I nervously and guardedly started to talk about my moving out one day, it was revealed that mom was just assuming I'd take the thing. She took it as a given. Meanwhile I, not having a good memory for anything, but particularly money spent, didn't even remember that it was my money that bought our TV.

I would derive a certain pleasure from taking the blasted thing away from her. It's a NICE TV. It's a tube TV but a flat screen. Great picture. Mom has an old one in her room that she never uses (oh how I wish she would watch TV in her room) that I could let her keep.

I'm fascinated, though, by the thought of a receptionless TV. This is something I will have to ponder.

You can download this if you like.

Hey come along and watch my game
why can't you see
I don't need anyone?
All on my own I will get on
remember you will be the only one
the lonely one

Great scribbles, makes me want to scan all my old art so have a digital copy.

Watchign my Sis in law drawing this weekend made me all nostalgic for wanting to get back into art.
