I pity the foo who dont like my dolla bill bling ring.

A few lovely things coincided right around the same time that made me happy just now (which may be hours ago depending on when I post this).

1) I discovered that Fenchurch is making and selling custom throw pillows, on which any image (or two) can be placed. Any image huh? Gee, I wonder what Crux is gonna pick biggrin So I left her a friendly comment saying I would soon be emailing her with the specifics of my throw pillow request.

2) Then, my Acestralian friend left me an email biggrin I hadnt heard from her this week so it was good to get a note from her. She is such a happy, fun, silly, smart, talented, wonderful girl and Im so glad to know her. I wish she didnt live so far away frown She did say shes thinking about joining SG! I hope she does, shes a ray of sunshine, that one.

3) Then, Fenchurch replied to my comment, and one of the things she said was:

I bet I can guess who's going on your pillow wink

That totally made my night biggrin Why? Because the image Ive chosen for my pillow is

THIS!@!@!$@!##@!%!

hahaha OH YES! I dont have such a one-track mind as all of you might think! HO HO!

Besides, would Annie really look that great as a throw pillow? wink

That really made me laugh though biggrin

Obviously, the thought crossed my mind immediately to request an Annietastic pillow, but I rejected the idea almost at once. Throw pillows are a delicate matter, to my mind. They have to be done just so, I believe.

A case in point. Which dissolves into a tangent, but no matter.

My grandma has a throw pillow that was made by one of my moms co-workers. Its a brown corduroy pillow with an embroidered scene on the front, bearing the likenesses of the last two dogs my grandma owned (at the same time), both of whom became ill with cancer in their later years, and had to go live with my grandmas friend, among other dogs of their breed (English Cocker Spaniel), during their dying days. Grandma visited them from time to time. I hear they were quite happy before they passed.

Now, on the face of it, that pillow is really tacky, okay? But apparently it is quite a comfort to my grandmother, who insisted we bring it to her when she had to live in a nursing home for a few months whilst recovering from a badly broken ankle. (Shes back home now, and has always said the only way she will leave the place is if shes carried out in a coffin.)

But I dont know, this makes me think. I think Ive brought this up before but Im not the kind of person who attaches a lot of meaning to the crap I own. I have very few sentimental-type objects. I can only think of two at the moment, my broomstick ninja sword with homemade masking-tape sheath, and the plush baby seal (visible on the right) I won from one of those grabby claw games at the beach. Oh yeah and I guess my handwritten letter from Basia, duh. (Nice that I actually have pictures of all of these things).

Actually, ha! I own more sentimental stuff than I thought. Like the framed needlepoint thingy my late grandmother (not the aforementioned one) made for me when I was born. Plus I have the first doll my mom ever got for me, and also a really old plush crocodile from when I was a wee one. But this stuff doesnt hold as much meaning for me as the stuff in the last paragraph.

So getting back to what I was originally talking about, throw pillows have the potential to be tacky, depending on whats on them. Annie on a throw pillow? Tacky. Definitely tacky. I believe my choice of picture is rad and not tacky in the least. Its gonna be sweet. Fenchurch is the coolest for offering her creations to the SG community smile

Anyway, Ive pushed my sleep schedule even further in the wrong direction by having stayed up until 6:30am. This is bad. Last night I was up past 5. Before then, 4. And see, Id been inching back from the brink of the dreaded 10am bedtime by having forced myself to sleep by 3. And now its all going to hell again. IT WOULD HELP IF I TOOK MY BEDTIME MEDS ON TIME mad

Aw criminy. One of the sudoku books I ordered from Amazon is unavailable. DISAPPOINTED. But its kind of moot now, since websudoku is just so damn rad that I can print off as many sudoku puzzles as I want in a flash. I like books though. I love their heft, the suppleness of a paperback, the crispness of the pages okay maybe I love books a little too much blush As you can see, one of the things that gets me hot is big heavy computer language reference books. I LOOOVE them. And possibly want to marry them and have children and raise a family and buy a house and a summer villa with them. Right.

omg, reading the Wikipedia article on Starry Night I discovered its at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC! Id like to spend a day in NYC finally (as opposed to just staying a few hours and leaving the next morning), but mom tells me the MOMA was INSANE. Just mobs of people everywhere. If I remember correctly the Louvre wasnt like that. Except around the Mona Lisa, there was quite a crowd there. Which is pretty amazing really, that an image could be that compelling to so many people. They have it encased in this glass box thing. I seem to remember it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

I should travel. Paris is the only time I ever left the U.S. Ever. I still hope to fly to the UK when Sophie Ellis-Bextor tours for her next album. Hopefully the album doesnt do so poorly as her last one that she doesnt tour at all. But again its going to be one of those spend a day or so then leave kind of visits unless I can get my act together to plan something. But without someone to guide me Im not sure how much I can do (and do safely).

My profile pic is Annies (and my) message to the h8rs out there. FUCK YOU!

i may get pissed off sometimes
but you seem like the type to hold a grudge
and in the end i just let go, yeah
in the end I just let it go

I also have been considering a pillow from Fenchurch but havent decided yet. im haveing a hard time making decisions like that lately confused confused confused the choice of image your gonna use is excellent and i cant wait to see you holding your new pillow biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

getting attached to things i understand but i seem to be getting detached from most everything like that. but i guess i wouldnt know unless something went missing or it all went away. I'm trying really hard to think iof something im really attached to that i would be upset about losing and im drawing a blank. but i dont really want to think about that stuff anyhow.

I've always wanted to go to paris!!!

did you know that van Gogh's starry night painting has been used as prove of aliens and other celestial phenomona at several occasions?

common opinion is that it just looks like that because van Gogh was a weirdo but the strange sky in the painting also matches exactly with several very rare and unusual celestial events.
